First Release coins offer the collector the opportunity to acquire absolute perfection and limited edition status. First Release coins are available in both mint state or proof 70, the highest grade that can be awarded to any coin. 70 is the perfect coin and has very attractive sharp strike and original luster of the highest quality for the date and mint. No contact marks are visible under magnification. There are no noticeable hairlines, scuff marks or defects. Eye appeal is attractive and outstanding. These coins come in special, sonically sealed tamper proof holders with a description of the coin and the grade permanently embedded into the clear plastic holder. Each First Release coin is part of a limited edition and is individually numbered on the holder. To qualify for First Release status a coin must be shipped from the U.S. Mail to a recognized depository on the first day of release. Mail receipts proving this are maintained on file.
